Tomo have many ways to ensure customer data is never compromised and therefore erased from every “end of life” device as part of our service:
Secure Destruction - Tomo have onsite Hard Disk Drive Shredders and PCB shredders to destroy and shred any components with sensitive customer data. Our IT and CCTV camera systems also provide video evidence of this erasure.
Military Spec Data Wiping - We use industry leading Data Wipe software called Black Belt, to securely erase any device. A data destruction certificate is automatically created and stored on our cloud servers for 7 years.
Parts Harvesting - As part of our recycling Tomo reuse all parts in end of life gadgets that are NOT data sensitive such as: LCD’s, Cameras, Casings, Keypads, Buttons, Components, Batteries, Accessories and Flex Cables.
Every device that cannot be data wiped is destroyed physically onsite at Tomo. Secure Data Destruction Certificates are provided for every single device by serial number.
